Privacy and analytics

GomokuNow uses privacy-minimized first-party analytics to understand product usage and improve the site.

What this means

• No advertising trackers.
• No persistent visitor ID.
• No account or user identity is used for G8 analytics.
• Raw analytics events are retained for no more than 30 days.
• Aggregate count-only metrics may be retained longer.

Analytics counts are aggregate product evidence. They are event counts, not unique-user identity.

Analytics controls

GomokuNow suppresses analytics when Global Privacy Control (GPC) is enabled or Do Not Track (DNT) is set to 1. You can also add ?analytics=off or ?analytics=0 to a page URL to disable analytics for that page runtime. This URL control is not stored in a cookie, localStorage, or sessionStorage.
